Our people are at the heart of our success.\n\n## ABOUT THE ROLE AND TEAM:\n\nThe Knot Worldwide is seeking a highly motivated Senior Engineering Manager to lead our Barcelona-based Acquisition Team. This role will lead the strategy, execution, and delivery of our landing experiences, focusing on building and optimizing discovery and landing experiences across various channels—including AI, search, paid media, and distribution—to significantly expand our reach, increase traffic, accelerate user activation, and drive app adoption.\n\n## RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\n* Lead and mentor a team of engineers working on landing experience apps and services—managing career growth, performance, and project execution.\n* Own the roadmap for product capabilities across our web and mobile platforms, working in close partnership with Product, Data, Design, and Marketing teams.\n* Collaborate across zones, including Marketplace and Vendor Experience teams, to ensure systems are performant, discoverable, and aligned with user and stakeholder needs.\n* Drive improvements in relevance, ranking, speed, and scalability of our platform, including systems migrations and replatforming when necessary.\n* Ensure quality and maintainability by guiding software development best practices, conducting code reviews, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.\n* Shape platform and company-wide architecture by contributing to technical direction and collaborating with other senior engineers and leaders.\n* Coordinate globally with remote and international engineering teams to deliver reliable and cohesive solutions.\n\n## SUCCESSFUL SENIOR ENGINEERING MANAGER CANDIDATES HAVE:\n\n* 5 years of experience managing engineering teams, preferably in product-focused, consumer web or mobile environments.\n* A strong background in leading teams working on landing experiences is a plus.\n* Experience across modern web stacks such as React, Next.js, Node.js, GraphQL, and cloud infrastructure.\n* Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects involving performance optimization, SEO, AEO, and high-scale content systems.\n* Proven ability to lead and coach senior engineers across multiple technical domains.\n* Excellent communication skills—you're able to align engineering with product and business priorities, and clearly articulate trade-offs to stakeholders.\n* Committed to agile development principles and fostering a culture of learning, feedback, and accountability.\n\n## BENEFITS:\n\n* Private health insurance\n* Life insurance\n* Employee assistance program: on-demand mental health assistance program for any professional or personal matter\n* Optional salary advances\n* Tax relief options: pre-tax savings for food, transport, daycare and work related training expenses\n* Gym membership discount\n* Personal time off: 23 working days of holidays per year additional days each year considering the application of the max. anual working hours of the Collective Bargaining Agreement\n* Other leave entitlements: enhancements to statutory leave permissions, for instance: maternity, paternity, childcare, illness and others to support work-life balance\n* Work from home allowance (40€/month)\n* Food allowance (55€/month)\n* Employee gifting\n* Signature events\n* Employee resource groups\n* DEI & Sustainability councils\n* Robust communication and feedback channels\n* Focused Fridays\n* Recognition iniciatives\n* Local events\n* GROW program\n* TKWW University for Employee & Leader development\n* Employee referral program\n\n## WORK MODEL:\n\nThis role is Together@TKWW-eligible and based near one of our office hubs.
